How it started
The cookbook has 28 recipes. The first video was uploaded on May 3, 2020, the latest on March 24, 2021.
The pandemic and our studio
The story of our YouTube channel began during the COVID-19 pandemic. Suddenly there was a lot of free time, and my daughter Anna and I decided to do something interesting and creative.
Anna also loves to cook and is good at it, but in our small family project we split the roles: I cooked, and she filmed, edited and published the videos. In effect it was our own creative studio, and we called it Zavadski Food Studio.
We made no business plans, didn’t try to become professional bloggers and set ourselves no commercial goals. We simply did what we enjoyed whenever we had the time, the wish and the inspiration.
May 3, 2020
The first video Anna edited is dated May 3, 2020. The project may have started a little earlier, but this is where the history of our channel can be counted from.
Little by little we built up a small collection of cooking videos. It was our shared creative work, and it brought us joy regardless of the number of views and subscribers.
A pause
Of course, if the channel had suddenly started getting millions of views back then, I might have given it much more attention. But the pandemic ended, I went back to being fully busy with work and business, Anna went on with her studies, other priorities came up, and our cooking videos gradually came to a stop.
But my interest in cooking never went away. I kept cooking for my family, experimenting with recipes and enjoying good food.
A new stage
Now I want to come back to this project, but with a different approach. My goal is not just to start posting recipes again, but to gradually turn Zavadski Food Studio into a full, recognisable food brand with quality content and professional visual design.
Anna played a key role in making the first videos: the filming, editing and publishing were hers. So for me the channel’s story is inseparable from our shared family creativity. Today I am the main author and the person developing the brand.
The main task now is to keep the history and character of the project while taking Zavadski Food Studio to a whole new level of quality, recognition and professional development.
