Split Pea Soup with Smoked Pork and Ground Dried Mushrooms
Thick yellow split pea soup with lean smoked pork, the way I like it: about 80 percent of the peas cook down and the rest stay a little al dente. The trick is dried mushrooms ground to powder in a coffee grinder and cooked together with the peas. Porcini are ideal, but any dried mushrooms work.

From the video
You need about 400 g of yellow split peas soaked for 20 to 30 minutes, smoked pork, one carrot, one potato, celery, onion, dill and cilantro. The potato and celery go in after about 30 minutes so they don't turn to mush, then another 30 minutes with bay leaves, my home spice mix, coriander, a little chili, dried parsley and garlic and a pinch of smoked paprika. Finish with dill, cilantro, chives and green onion.
